How to Taste Awamori

Awamori can be enjoyed in a variety of ways, including on the rocks, straight and diluted with water.
* On the rocks
Add a slice of lemon or bitter lemon to create a very refreshing drink.
* Straight
The best way to taste the richness of kusu.
* With water
The most popular way of drinking awamori. You can decide on the strength yourself to match your mood. As with drinking awamori on the rocks, a slice of lemon, bitter lemon or turmeric goes very well with the drink.
* Cocktails
Awamori cocktails have become very popular in the past few years, partly as a result of the 'Awamori Cocktail Competition' held in Okinawa. Cocktails are particularly popular with women and those who are not so fond of the aroma of awamori. Many of the cocktail recipes include Okinawan fruits, such as pineapples.
