Dachi-bin are unique Okinawan liquor containers that can be carried around by threading a cord through the holes at each end and suspending the flask from your shoulder. They feature a crescent-moon shape designed to fit the contours of the carrier's hip. Well-to-do farmers used to carry a dachi-bin filled with awamori suspended from their shoulders with a cord or worn on the hip.
